Rogerebert.com is a movie review blog which was created by Roger Eber who passed away in 2013. His love of movies influenced his movie critic companions to continue the blog and keep it alive with their own reviews. This specific review was about the recent movie "As Above, So Below" which was written by another movie critic named Simon Abrams. The film is a 'found-footage' movie about two extremely smart and experienced explorers who are searching for a special stone. To get this stone, they must travel through the Parisian catacombs where they start experiencing some paranormal activity only to reveal later on that they have in fact reached hell. After a series of deaths and battles, only three out of the six  explorers make it out alive while the other three die in the catacombs. Abrams believes that the movie could have been made better especially with a different camera style. He gives this film an average rating.
The writer mentions no ethos in the review but taken from the website he is posting his review on, one may know that he is a professional movie critic. No logos or is provided but the almost the whole review is based on pathos. The whole review is the critics opinion. He writes about what he likes and the specific scenes that he does not. The only claim of fact would be when he mentions the actors and actresses featuring in the movie and gives a brief description of the movie. Claim of value would be the opinions that Abrams is sharing with the audience. Abrams believes this is an average movie but another may be believe that this movie was brilliant as well as another thinking this movie was a waste of time. The claim of policy would be when Abrams suggests that they make the movie with a different camera style since the picture is so jittery. Other than that, he makes no suggestion so change anything.
